It can be frustrating when your air conditioner isn’t working correctly, especially when it is hot outside. Sometimes it is little thing that people look over when there is an issue so there are a few things to try.
*Look at your thermostat and make sure its set to cool and below the temperature of the room. Sometimes people can bump them without noticing and it could be why your air conditioner is not working.
*Check your breakers. Sometimes power overloads and it trips your breaker. When this happens all you need to do is replace the fuse and you should be good to go after that.
*Check to see if the furnace switch is on.
*Check to see if the condenser outside is switched to on, both furnace and air conditioner switches must be on.
*Check to make sure your filter is clean.
*Check to make sure nothing is blocking the outside units air flow. If you have cottonwood trees in the neighborhood, they tend to clog the outside unit so clean it out if you see the seeds around your unit.
*If all those things are fine, try turning the unit off for three minutes and starting it again. If after that it doesn’t work than call Bartlett Heating and Air to come out and help you diagnose the issue and fix it.
