There are two types of central air conditioning systems. One of the types has everything packed into one metal box that sits either outside or on your roof. The second is a split system that has an air handler indoors and a condenser outside of your home. The two systems work the same way. Both of those systems send conditioned air through the ducts in your home. Refrigerant is sent through your evaporator coil which takes the heat from your home. The refrigerant then flows through your condenser coil where it cools and is shot back to the compressor where it is liquified again. The last place it goes back to is the evaporator coil. The fan for the evaporator blows the air over the coil cooling it because the warm air is absorbed by the coil. That cooler air is then recycled through your home. Bartlett Heating and Air has experience installing both types of systems so call us today with any questions you may have!
