*Clogged Air Filters– Your HVAC system has filters in it that need to be changed regularly. The filters job is to catch dirt, dust, and debris in your home to make your breathing air better. The filter also keeps debris from getting into the sensitive parts of the system so it doesn’t get damaged.
*Dirty Condenser Coils– Your condenser coil is in the part of your air conditioner that is outside. Being outside in the elements all year gets the coil pretty dirty. It needs to cleaned at least once a year. Bartlett Heating and Air cleans the coil as part of our yearly Air Conditioner clean and check. When you have a dirty coil the heat transfer from the refrigerant is affected.
*Thermostat Issues– Your thermostat controls your HVAC system. If your thermostat is programmed wrong, the system won’t work properly. There are often times that we come out and the thermostat was turned off. If you are having issues, check your thermostat to make sure it is turned on and if it needs batteries make sure they are charged.
*Blocked Drain Lines– The drain line can get clogged with dirt and algae. That causes the drain pan to potentially back up and leak out onto your floor potentially damaging it.
*Faulty Wiring– If your AC is wired wrong it will not work. It is also a fire hazard.
*Low Refrigerant– The refrigerant is what helps cool your home. If you are low on refrigerant, the AC won’t cool your home properly and can even freeze up on you. Bartlett Heating and Air can refill your refrigerant should you need it. This can be caused by a leak that needs to be fixed.
*Tripped Breakers– Tripped breakers can cause a loss of power to the air conditioner. Check your breakers if you have issues with the unit not turning on.
Bartlett Heating and Air can easily fix any of these issues so give us a call today!
