Even though spring is here and you wont be using your furnace much longer, that doesn’t mean to ignore repairs that need to be made. *Uneven Heating– If some parts of your home feel cooler than the thermostat reads it should you might have some underlying issues. *Igniter issues– Your burner has a few jets that run along it and they are all supposed to light up when the furnace kicks on. If this is not happening you need to have a trained technician remove and inspect the burners. Common issues with the burner is it tends to get dirty and needs a simple cleaning. You could also have gas flow issues, valve issues, or corrosion. These are all things that a trained technician can diagnose and fix for you.
*Odd Odors– Any weird smells coming from the ducts should be checked out. The smells could be caused by a motor getting ready to go. They can also signal broken vents that are letting stale air in. You could have a dead animal in the ducts that needs to be removed sometimes. If you haven’t had your ducts cleaned, there could be excess dirt and bacteria built up inside that needs to be cleaned out and sanitized.
