The most recent brands of air conditioners are economical enough for most of us to be able afford it.With there being so many too choose from, sometimes its gets overwhelming. We’ve outlined some of the major points to consider when you go about buying an air conditioner.
The most important determining factors in choosing an AC for your house is the size of the room. Some people tend to think bigger is better but not in all cases. A bigger AC increases humidity and cancels out the effect of the AC. If you have a smaller house, a portable AC is sufficient.
Efficiency is next on the list. Most efficient in order from high to low is split to central and portable to window.
Type of Air Conditioning is next. There are three kinds. Through the wall, ductless, and central air. Through the wall are the window units. Ductless are split type. Centralized units are advantageous to huge buildings and mansions but would be a waste for a smaller building.
Cost is the final factor in choosing an AC. Central air conditioners are the most expensive costing thousands for installation alone. Split types are the next most expensive, then portable AC and lastly window units are the cheapest.
